Clean, warm rooms with spacious breakfast area. Close to restaurants, including Ruby Tuesday, a favorite. Hot water may have a smell but cold glacier water from tap is brilliant. Cake and coffee in the afternoon is a welcome bonus.

Felt most welcome, nothing was too much trouble.

The room was old and had water stains on the ceiling. the plumbing was loud and there was a strange smell outside the window.

It was a cozy hotel, I would stay there again. The property was homey and overall clean, had delightful views of the mountains. I liked the room, the bed was comfortable.

The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including eggs, meats, cheese, cereals. The blackout curtains in the room ensured a good night's sleep, despite the midnight sun during June. The hotel also had a comfortable and well-lit lounge, perfect for afternoon tea and cakes.

The hotel felt very secure and the staff were always willing to assist, making our stay hassle-free.

We had an enjoyable stay in a great location with plenty of restaurants nearby and just a short walk to the city centre or down towards the harbour. The staff were friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful, offering us tea and coffee throughout the day and cake which was a fantastic treat. The room was clean, cosy and had comfortable beds with a nice breakfast selection available each morning.

The hotel could benefit from some updates in terms of decor and furnishings to match the price paid.

I recently stayed at Hotel Orkin in Reykjavik for a weekend getaway with my friends. The value for money was excellent, with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a small but included breakfast. The location was perfect, close to the harbor but quiet at night. The staff gave us a genuine, warm Icelandic welcome, which made us feel right at home. We even discovered a microbrewery right next to the hotel! we were very happy with our stay at Orkin.

Additionally, having a 24-hour reception was convenient, especially when arriving late at night.

The room we stayed in was described as a loft, but it turned out to be quite small and impractical. the lack of space made it difficult to navigate with our suitcases, and it would have been better if the description had been more accurate.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. Firstly, the value for money was excellent. We found the prices to be very reasonable compared to other accommodations in the area. Secondly, the attention to detail was evident throughout our stay. From the clean and cozy rooms with a lovely mountain view, to the basic amenities provided, everything was thoughtfully arranged. Lastly, the location was ideal. We were within walking distance of the city center, with plenty of restaurants nearby.
